From a one-person office to a team with its own software.
2004 - Founded: fox-on
Alef Völkner establishes fox-on as an independent data protection consultancy.
2012 - Incorporated: fox-on Datenschutz GmbH
fox-on has grown into a team of DPOs – time to incorporate as a GmbH.
2013 - First version of the online training
Development of a proprietary data protection training programme to raise awareness among clients' employees.
2017 - Development of foxondo begins
Initially developed as an in-house documentation tool. Has since evolved into a fully-fledged SaaS platform.
2022 - Incorporated: foxondo GmbH
fox-on becomes a co-shareholder of foxondo GmbH.
2025 - fox-on now acting as EU Representative
In addition to acting as DPO, fox-on can now also be appointed as an EU Representative.
2025 - Jannik Kronenberg becomes Co-Managing Director
He now supports Alef Völkner in the management of fox-on Datenschutz GmbH.
2026 - Incorporated: fox-on Privacy Ltd.
fox-on now has an office in the UK, enabling appointment as a UK Representative.
